La Prisonnière (French for The Prisoner) is an autobiographical book written by Malika Oufkir and Michèle Fitoussi about a woman who was essentially a prisoner until she was 38.
The book was released by Grasset et Fasquelle on 21 April 1999, and was later published in English by Hyperion Books as Stolen Lives: Twenty Years in a Desert Jail.
A copy of the novel is kept by Duke Crocker in the state room of his boat, the Cape Rouge.
