Dr. Rudy Lucassi was a psychiatrist at the Murray Q. Frederickson Psychiatric Facility, a medical examiner with the Haven Police Department, and a resident of Haven, Maine. On Wednesdays he'd go surfing in Ogunquit.[1]

When working at the Murray Q Frederickson Psychiatric Facility, Lucassi was affected by Ray McBreen's Trouble, and suffered a psychotic break. He had to be subdued by FBI Special Agent Audrey Parker and HPD detective Nathan Wournos using ether. As he was being taken away, he suddenly became sane and helped Parker and Wuornos with escaped patients William and Howard Sperry who has suddenly become near-comatose again.

He was affected again by McBreen's Trouble, attacking him and taking him to his lab to cut open his brain. Parker and Wuornos intervene again, and Parker uses a defibrillator to shock him into unconsciousness.[2]

Working for the HPDEdit

Lucassi discovered Lief Glendower's body, and assisted the HPD on the crime scene.[3] He became an official consultant for the HPD, and in this capacity provided quotes to Dave and Vince Teagues for the Haven Herald.[4] He eventually started working for the HPD full time, becoming the Haven Coroner, a job that Wuornos thought was perfect for him, because "he hates when his patients talk back".[5]

He eventually started to take on more responsibilities, including doing notifications.[6] However he lasted less than a year in the job before he "cracked up", leaving town with his neighbor's cats.[7]

Haven Herald quotesEdit

Lucassi provided quotes to the Herald to cover-up for Tor Magnusson's Trouble,[1] claiming that the bizarre behavior exhibited by the dog-men was the result of a bacterial infection.[4]. He also provided quotes to the Herald for the Nix family Trouble, blaming the the hospitalizations on swine flu.[8] He also explained away the sudden revival of Rica Hamilton as the result of rare parasitic disease.[9]
