T. J. Smith is the widower of Connie Shubert, the son-in-law of Arlene and Bud Shubert, the father of Aaron Smith, and a resident of Haven, Maine.

He possess the ability to manifest into reality anything that he reads. In October of 2010, a week after the death of his wife, he inadvertently manifested the ten Biblical plagues of Egypt after reading the Book of Exodus. He later managed to stop the plagues before the death of the first born sons by reading The Velveteen Rabbit to his son at the suggestion of Audrey Parker.
